Moment Brazilian gang leader is caught dressed as his teen daughter in bizarre prison-break attempt
THIS is the bizarre moment a Brazilian gang leader is caught trying to escape a high-security prison - dressed as his teenage daughter.
Clauvino da Silva, 42, tried to bust out of Rio’s Gericino prison pretending to be the 19-year-old - who he was going to leave behind, authorities say.
He donned a convincing wig and eerie lifelike rubber mask along with a bra and cutesy pink t-shirt on Saturday.
The convicted drug dealer’s amazing get-up was so convincing prison staff only stopped him at the end of visiting time.
Guards became suspicious because he started acting too nervously, according to authorities.
Da Silva, known as “Shorty,” was filmed standing awkwardly with his hands behind his back as his wild costume was slowly exposed.
REMOVES DISGUISE
The footage starts with guards carefully removing his glasses and a long black wig.
The tattooed inmate then removes his shirt - showing a black bra underneath.
A creepy silicon mask gave him a smooth teenage complexion.
Now only wearing tight jeans, he finally pulls off the mask - showing short-cropped hair and his middle-age wrinkles.
'WILLING TO LEAVE DAUGHTER BEHIND'
The inmate had planned to leave his daughter inside the jail in the western part of Rio de Janeiro, officials said.
Police are looking into the teen as a possible accomplice.

Another woman who is pregnant and able to avoid being searched is also being probed for potentially smuggling in the outfit, according to local reports.
Authorities say da Silva was part of the leadership of the Red Command, one of the most powerful criminal groups in Brazil that controlled drug trafficking in a large part of Rio.
After the failed escape bid, da Silva was transferred to a special unit of a maximum-security prison and will face disciplinary action, officials said.
