Woman fulfils her bucket list dream of holding her own funeral while still ALIVE
Brazilian housewife persuades friends and family to come and declares, 'It was best day of my life'
This woman has finally lived her dream of holding her own funeral while still alive.
Vera Lucia da Silva, 44, went ahead despite her husband's protests and declared it the best day of her life.
The funeral fan - who attends as many burial services as she can in her spare time - is seen lying in a coffin wearing a white, lace gown in a video.
Meanwhile, family and friends indulged her wish by dressing in black and bringing flowers to the funeral home where the stunt was held in Camocim, Brazil.
She said: “I wanted to hold my own funeral 14 years ago. I’ve waited a long time and can’t believe that at last this wish has been granted.

Vera, a housewife, added: “To complete my dream I asked the funeral director to cover the coffin with the lace top and the lid. Then I asked them to carry me around for a few minutes as if they were taking me to my burial.”
She revealed that the occasion was too much for some people who cried. However, others burst out laughing at the bizarre scene.
