12 passengers stuck as Hong Kong Disneyland roller coaster makes emergency stop mid-ride

A roller coaster at Hong Kong Disneyland made an emergency stop mid-ride leaving 12 passengers stranded at one stage, police said on Wednesday.
The force said it received a report at 3.21pm that an indoor attraction named Hyperspace Mountain had made an emergency stop.
Twelve passengers were stuck but no injuries were reported, it said.
Two carriages were involved and firefighters were rescuing the passengers, a government spokesman said.
He later said the rescue mission was completed at 4.14pm with all passengers brought to safety.
According to the park’s website, the ride is located in the Tomorrowland area and is described as the “reimagining of the classic Space Mountain attraction” with a Star Wars theme.
Visitors who were 102cm or taller were suitable for riding the roller coaster, it said.
The attraction would be temporarily closed from February 26 to March 1 for routine maintenance and inspection, it said.
